Singing Hills Funeral Home was opened in 1974 on the east end of Laurel Land Cemetery-Dallas, and offers families the opportunity to plan all funeral and cemetery arrangements from one convenient location.

Members of the Singing Hills Funeral Home staff are firm believers in the community and share a special calling to help those in need. It is no wonder why so many families turn to them during their times of sorrow. Singing Hills is proud of its African-American heritage and of its reputation of providing personalized attention and exceptional care.

The lovely Singing Hills Funeral Home has a family room that seats 45guests, and four visitation rooms that can also be combined to form two adjoining rooms for double-service viewing. The newly renovated chapel seats up to 350 guests, and features an astonishing mural that depicts the opening of the heavens. In addition to the beautiful crystal chandelier that hangs from the ceiling, sconces and wall-to-wall chandeliers adorn the chapel wall. Outside, you will see a fleet of the finest in automobiles. An on-location floral shop is also available, making Singing Hills a truly convenient choice.

The Pillars

Just outside the funeral home doors in adjacent Laurel Land Cemetery-Dallas, you will find The Pillars garden, a tribute to African-American heritage. The great stone columns at the entrance to the garden symbolize the strength and legacy to which the garden is dedicated. The winding pathway of The Pillars garden takes visitors on an inspirational journey through African-American history, marking the contributions and accomplishments of outstanding individuals. The journey is completed at the beautiful “healing fountain” and congregation area. Just beyond the fountain stands a memorial wall, placed as a tribute to our African-American youth. The Pillars garden provides families with one of the most memorable and educational experiences of its kind.
